What is BOXLY Selfstorage?
Self-storage is the storage of items in a rented storage compartment when you need more space for a certain period of time. Your Boxly storage room is only accessible by yourself and is surrounded by solid, opaque metal walls.
Who is BOXLY for?
If you need more space in the short or long term, Boxly is the right place for you, because Boxly rents out storage space for private customers, companies, clubs and organizations.
What is stored?
A few examples: Business customers: Tools, materials and goods for field staff, archive storage and documents for companies, web store stock, decoration material, trade fair articles, promotional material.
Private customers: Storage of household goods and personal belongings during a move, renovation or stay abroad. Longer-term storage of e.g. sports equipment, car tires and various goods.
What must not be stored?
Toxic, highly flammable, explosive, perishable, odorous and illegal goods or substances are prohibited. This also includes living or dead animals and plants. See also the GTC.
How do I rent my BOXLY Box?
A box can easily be booked via the website, go to: Rent now. Would you prefer more information first? We will be happy to advise you personally, contact us by phone or e-mail. You may also download our users guide – how to book a storage room.

How do I cancel my BOXLY Box?
You must cancel your contract in writing. There is no notice period, you can leave your storage unit at any time. The condition for an orderly termination of the rental is, that you leave the box empty and clean.
All belongings should be removed from the storage space on the day of departure. Please leave the storage space clean. We will check the cleared storage space to make sure nothing has been forgotten and that it is in good condition. Take everything with you, including items you may no longer need. We cannot throw these items away for you.
Take a picture of the empty and clean unit while standing in the door of your box, clearly showing that the unit is clean and empty. Afterwards, lock the unit again, by closing the door with the lock.
Send us an e-mail with this picture. Once we have received the e-mail, we will cancel the rental contract and make the final settlement. Normally, you will get back the deposit plus the part of the rent that has already been paid but not used.
What if I need more or less storage space?
Because circumstances sometimes change or the volume is different than estimated, you can always move to another storage unit (if available). The rent is then calculated per day. If you need more space, it is sometimes easier to rent a second box. We will be happy to advise you.
When and how do I have access to the building and the box?
Once you have selected and booked a suitable box, you will have access to the Boxly building and your personal box with a free app on your smartphone from the date of receipt. Access is normally seven days a week, 365 days a year from 6 am to 10 pm. Access can be extended on request. The access area, entrance and general rooms/corridors are monitored 24/7 by a camera system.
There are parking spaces in front of each building and there are trolleys for transporting heavy items. Depending on the location, the boxes are accessible at ground level or via a ramp and goods lift.
How does it work with insurance?
Boxly as a company has taken out all insurances but you have to insure your stored items yourself. Insurance can be taken out directly when booking or via your own household contents insurance.
How long is a rental period?
The rental can start any day, the minimum duration is seven days. If the box is not canceled or an end date is agreed in advance, the rental period is extended by one month at a time. There is no notice period, you can leave the storage room any day.
